Synthesis, physical, optical and structural studies of B2O3-CdO-Al2O3-PbF2 glasses modified with MoO3 ions

This manuscript deals with the preparation and detailed physical structural study of B2O3-CdO-Al2O3-PbF2 glasses reinforced MoO3 ions. With addition MoO3, density band gap values decreased while refractive index increased, confirming transformation Mo6+ ions to Mo5+ resulting in generation NBO's these glasses. The FTIR spectra revealed presence different borate aluminate units. also indicated conversion effect on Raman was clearly visible BO4 BO3 units, increasing NBO’s which helped explain variation.
